California Digital Library

The California Digital Library supports the assembly and creative use of the world's scholarship and knowledge for the University of California libraries and the communities they serve.

In addition, the CDL provides tools that support the construction of online information services for research, teaching, and learning, including services that enable the UC libraries to effectively share their materials and provide greater access to digital content.

• Researchers at the University of California have partnered with dozens of other universities and agencies to create DataONE (http://dataone.org), a global data access and preservation network for earth and environmental scientists that will support breakthroughs in environmental research. • UC’s open access digital publishing service, eScholarship (www.escholarship.org), launches a redesigned website with a substantial array of digital publishing services for the University of California scholarly community and a dynamic research platform for scholars worldwide.  October 19, 2009 press release [PDF]
